Two-Day Flyer/Pilot Workshops

This program continues to garner great interest in the film and video community. These are usually held as Dealer Workshops, sponsored by one of our Steadicam dealers. The unique thing about these workshops is that they bring the entire skill set to a new Steadicam Operator in an intense two day format.

This workshop does cover the entire set of fundamentals of Steadicam Operating, including work on stairs, running shots, composition and low-mode operation. Students are trained for a 1 ½ days and then each student performs a Test Shot during the afternoon of Day 2. The group screens all Test Shots with an eye towards building on the foundations established during the Workshop.

Class size is set at minimum of 6 and a maximum of 9 students per 2-day Workshop.

Tiffen supplies all Steadicam Flyer and Pilot systems as required with accessories, along with Steadicam t-shirts and Certificates of Completion for each student. Students do not bring their cameras or Steadicam systems. If an attending student owns a Flyer or Pilot, they are encouraged to bring their own vest.
