Five-Day Steadicam Workshop

The Five Day Workshops are geared toward individuals who desire to become a professional Steadicam Operator in the film, broadcast, or video industry. All aspects of operating are covered from the physics, basic set up, and practice exercises to marketing, buying a rig, and the business side of Steadicam, to survival on a motion picture set. Most importantly, we teach the many ways to use a Steadicam well and make great shots.

All aspects of Steadicam operating are discussed and taught including vehicle mount, low-mode and running.

These workshops continue the traditions and standards set by over twenty years of Steadicam Workshops. These intensive courses are designed for both beginning and experienced operators. A variety of cameras are utilized as well as a selection of Steadicam systems, including the advanced Ultra2.

The instructors are all experienced, enthusiastic Steadicam operators and teachers. There will be at least one great instructor and full sized rig for every four students, as well as several lightweight Flyers and Merlins for practice. Area Steadicam Operators and special guests also visit the workshops

Note: These workshops run from 5 days to 6 1/2 days in length. Please refer to the specific scheduled workshop for duration and start/stop times.
